I read a quote while browsing the internet a couple of days ago that
says, 'The things we lose have a
way of coming back to us in the end.' I find
it funny because that was the day when I finally gave photography another
chance. Yes, I lost my passion in my passion. If that makes any sense to you.
If there's one thing that I do that I can totally be myself without giving a damn about what other people say,
it's photography. Photography feeds my whole entire being: mind, heart, soul,
etc. However, this passion of mine also made me upset or disappointed. I have
been doing photography since 2011 and I felt that I wasn't growing as an
artist. It came to a point where I got tired of it. Heck, I even thought about
selling my camera and when my friends learned about it, there were like, 'Are
you being for real?' Yes, I thought about selling my camera but part of me said
that I should just give it some time. Time to realize the very reason why I
pursued photography in the first place. Time to re-learn everything that I've
learned about photography because I lost my skills since I went on hiatus for more than a year, and I probably need to
watch Youtube videos again because I forgot how Photoshop works. Time to make
me realize how I loved photography and I just can't give up my passion because
it's part of my life; and if you take that part out, then I will never be
complete. But, just like what the quote says, 'The things we lose have a way of
coming back to us in the end.' Yes, I lost my passion. However, my passion
found its way back to me.
P.S. These pictures were taken long time ago. However, I edited them
again because I need to practice CS6 and no better way to practice than...of
course, with these pics.
